On April 24, 2025, the Justice Innovation Development Division organized a financial literacy training program at Rayong Central Prison, Rayong Province. The event was graciously welcomed and opened by Mr. Kritsana Thipyanjan, the Director of Rayong Central Prison. The training was conducted by Mr. Tritep Phutdaeng, Miss Thunthip Rattprasert, and Mr. Pannaphat Jirathavolwatt from Government Savings Bank. A total of 100 female inmates participated in the training.

During the session, the instructors provided knowledge on “Financial Planning for Stability, Understanding Debt and Financial Scams.” They offered guidance on ways of thinking and perspectives regarding income and expenses, planning for future finances, and maintaining discipline in financial management. Participants were advised on how to choose between saving before spending or saving remaining after expenses. They also received advice on debt management, building good credit, and being cautious of cyber scams—such as not clicking on suspicious links, not providing personal information, avoiding traps, and not opening accounts for others to use. Additionally, it was emphasized that banks do not send SMS messages to customers; if there is any doubt or suspicion, customers should contact their nearest bank branch.

The inmates showed great interest in the training. The hope is that after serving their sentences and reintegrating into society, they will adopt responsible financial behaviors.
