On June 29-30, 2025, the Justice Innovation Development Division organised a vocational training program titled "From Senior to Junior" focused on Thai traditional massage at the Kanoy Temporary Prison in Petchabun Province. The opening ceremony was presided over by Miss Kanokwalee Thimprajum, the Director of Petchabun Provincial Prison. Miss Patama Prasitkhetkittikul, the head of Kanoy Temporary Prison, reported the event. The program was also attended by representatives from the Justice Innovation Development Division. Ms. Phailing Misat served as the trainer and role model who received opportunities from society. A total of 30 participants attended the training.
The trainer provided knowledge on techniques for traditional Thai massage and acupressure to treat various ailments such as office syndrome, chronic pain, sports injuries, and tendinitis. The massage techniques for treating these conditions included 13 specific moves, starting with:
1. Foot reflexology
2. Achilles tendon massage
3. Elbow joint massage
4. Acupressure at the "Diamond" point
5. Lower back massage
6. Shoulder blade massage
7. Shoulder massage
8. Neck massage
9. Acupressure at the collarbone area
10. Tension relief at the back of the neck
11. Acupressure behind the ears
12. Acupressure under the armpit
13. Finger lock release and hand numbness relief
These techniques aim to improve blood circulation, promote oxygen and nutrient delivery throughout the body, restore muscle and joint function, balance the body, and enhance overall health. The program also emphasised the importance of understanding clients' medical histories before massage to identify potential health issues or contraindications. Additionally, it provided guidance on career development through Thai massage, helping inmates maximise benefits once they are released back into society.
