May 7 - 8, 2026 — The Justice Innovation Development Division organised the "From Senior to Junior" Vocational Training Project, focusing on the Art of Fortune Telling, at Khok Ta Ban Temporary Prison in Surin Province.
The Commander of Surin Central Prison assigned Mr Ratthapol Srising, Director of the Inmate Development Division, to preside over the opening ceremony, and Mr Prach Chakchai, Head of Khok Ta Ban Temporary Prison, joined. A total of 99 inmates participated in the project.
Ms. Waraporn Yanwiset served as the guest speaker and inspiring role model for the event. She provided comprehensive knowledge on tarot card reading and the meanings of all 78 cards, which were divided into two categories:
Key Techniques Taught During the Training:
Beyond the technical skills, the role model shared her deeply personal journey and professional experience as a fortune teller, detailing her life from her release from prison up to her current success.
Hands-on Workshop: Following the theoretical portion, participants engaged in a practical workshop where they took turns reading each other's fortunes. They worked together to interpret card meanings, connect the storylines, and practice reading the cards as a form of art. The instructor offered continuous guidance and personalised advice to ensure everyone gained a deep and practical understanding.
The participants demonstrated immense interest and excellent cooperation throughout the training, expressing a strong desire for this engaging activity to be continued in the coming years.
