On 3 December 2021, 2 pm, Mrs Jirapa Sintunava, Mrs Apon Kaewwiangchai, Director of Justice Innovation Development Division, and others co-workers joined the discussion with Ms Preethida Somchit, Director of Nonthaburi Prison, and staff to share their way to improve inmate record process and guideline for successful reentry and post-release. The discussion result will be used in inmate portfolio of Nan Prison where Kamlangjai Project the Royal Initiative will be set up in early 2022.
During the meeting, the director of Nonthaburi Prison and her fellows presented the guideline from Department of Corrections and code of conduct to prepare inmates early before release. The program educates inmates for social adjustment, healthy mind, and desirable behavior for post-release.
Mrs Jirapa Sintunava, Inspector of Ministry of Justice, and fellow asked wheter an inmate record book or personal information should be done as it remarks community and entrepreneur how a former inmate was educated including their vocational skills during arrest. Then, the participants from Nonthaburi Prison agreed with this idea and pointed out that there are practical 17 information systems in Ministry of Corrections available to make an inmate’s personal book record. Every participant also supported that the detail of inmate’s physical and mental fitness, job skills, and personal value can be added in the book record to guarantee their capability when returning home and working in specific sector.
