On 13 December 2021, HRH Princess Bajarakitiyabha and HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya payed visit to Klang Wiang Agricultural Camp in Chiang Mai and gave successful tips in fashio design for female inmates who work in textile production.
Firsty, they both came to a class session for greeting on site participants and online inmate participants from 16 prisons via Zoom. HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya expressed her gratitude to be there as a key speaker for sharing successful tips in fashion design: fabric sewing, silk and cotton production, bag making, and online marketing. Then, she joined a workshop for fashion design, Thai silk production, and bag design with inmates. The experts from these industry are invited to give lessons. The introduction to Thai silk is lectured by Mr Kullawit Laosuksri, Mr Thananrat Thanasethakarn, and Wisharawish Akarasantisook. Tailoring class is given by Mr Smissorn Sutthisung, M.L. Apanan Chakrabhand, Mr Chanin Samdang, and Mr Pantawan Kongpiem. Bag making class is given by Ms Umawan Klinsunthorn, Ms Theerada Na Nakorn, Mr Weerapan Chanthangpon, and Ms Banchuen Kannikar. For online marketing class, the lecturers are M.L. Songluck Svastivatana, Mrs Ritiros Julachat, and Mr ChaiwatTangkaravakoon. All of these trainings are for inspiring participants.
HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya said the opportunities are always available thanks to many reasons: positive thinking, time to return home and family, future career, and global changes. They must be prompt to readjust themselves and seize these opportunities.
In the afternnon session, participants were grouped to study fashion design, tailoring, bag making, and online marketing. After the workshop, HRH Princess Bajarakitiyabha and HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya got feedback from inmates while each speaker from job trainings had summarized what they had done. Both of princesses gave a cloth and bag pattern including more than 10 Thai Textiles Books trend 2022 to inmates for practising their skill.
3 representatives from workshops expressed thankful speech toward the opportunity to attend classes granted by both princesses. Knowledge and idea from workshop will be helpful to work in the future. They were all happy to spend time with princessess. If they were not here, there would be thin chance to meet them. Their visit today showed how much they value and support inmates.
HRH Princess Bajarakitiyabha further stated that all skills acquired from trainings are marketable. Inmates with vocational skills can improve their life, have better job and successful improvement when reentry community. Wish them all the bests!
Lastly, princessess took group photos with inmates that shared happiness with all participants.
