Kamlangjai Project Developed Inmates’ Products and Presented to UNODC
On 22 February 2018, Mrs. Jirapa Sintunava – Director of Activity Office under the Royal Initiative of HRH Princess Bajarakitiyabha with officers attended the meeting welcomed by Miss Porntip Rattanachairit – Director of Phitsanulok Women’s Correctional Facility, to select inmates’ products for presentation to UNODC. A representative from the Support Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (SACICT) suggested developing and adding value into the products in order to compete in the market.
From Phitsanulok Women’s Prison, quilting products found exquisite and beautiful and could be developed, others outstanding products are clay flowers, fabric inventions, pillows, blankets, bedspreads, key chains, crochet, bags, in-house shoes and wicker hand-made from water hyacinth.
