The Kumlangjai Project, organized by the Justice Innovation Development Division, conducted the "Path to Yoga" program from April 28-29, 2025, at Ayutthaya Provincial Prison. The instructors included Miss Duangta Pawa, Miss Rammana Sanga Jaroenkij, and Miss Pawanpratch Palaramat. A total of 30 participants attended the training.
Before starting the training, the instructors conducted ice-breaking activities for the participants. They provided knowledge about yoga, including its history, types of yoga, information about muscles, bones, joints, and the use of yoga poses for physical exercise, breathing, and relaxation.
Participants practiced various yoga poses, with explanations of their benefits, such as cow pose and cat pose, which help in spinal alignment and relieve back pain. The instructors also emphasized the principles of practice: practicing with focus, not competing with others, and combining yoga with proper breathing. If participants feel tired, they were encouraged to take breaks as needed.
The instructors divided the participants into three groups of ten each for close-guided activities focused on relieving pain with yoga poses. The three stations included:
After each yoga session, a representative from each group demonstrated their favorite yoga pose and explained its benefits. Throughout the training, the instructors fostered a friendly atmosphere, gave individual guidance, shared stories, and encouraged the participants, helping to motivate and inspire them. As a result, the participants felt impressed, more focused, with improved health, increased strength, and greater morale.
