Yoga Training for Physical and Mental Development

On April 29-30, 2025, the Justice Innovation Development Division organized a training program titled "Yoga for Developing the Body and Mind, Improving Quality of Life" at Saraburi Provincial Prison. The training was graciously conducted by Kru Siriwan Soparat and Miss Jiratcha Setabutr. A total of 21 participants attended the training.
During this training, the instructors provided knowledge about the structure of the body and internal organs, which are the roots of illnesses. They also focused on strengthening the mind through chanting, prayer, meditation, and loving-kindness practices, as well as understanding forgiveness to achieve a happy life. The program aimed to elevate the participants' moral consciousness, fostering fear of wrongdoing (hiri-ottappa), and encouraging acceptance of reality. It emphasized loving and acknowledging the value of living healthily for a better quality of life.
Participants were guided to adjust their mindset, build positive attitudes, and visualize positive outcomes. The tangible results of the training included relief, recovery, and pain management through group activities. These activities involved testing physical capacity with ten exercises: sitting cross-legged, sitting with legs folded, raising arms, pulling arms back, squatting, standing on tiptoes, one-legged standing, raising arms and legs, bending forward to touch the toes, and bowing to the ground.
The program aimed to align these exercises with the goals of physical and mental development, promoting well-being and a healthy, stress-free mind that conquers illnesses.
