Innovation Development Division for female detainees at Kanchanaburi Provincial Prison, Kanchanaburi Province. The honorable speakers, Dr. Duangta Pa-wa and Dr. Anthiża Saengchai, provided knowledge to the 20 female detainees attending the program.
The training took place on July 17, 2025, and included the following activities:
1. **Self-Introduction Activity:** Participants lined up in order of age, starting from the youngest to the oldest, based on their hometowns.
2. **Check-In Activity:** Participants paired up to discuss the following topics to get to know each other better:
- Things we are not but others think we are
- Things others think we are not but we actually are
These activities helped participants get to know each other better, as they had seen each other before but had never spoken much, often due to working in separate teams.
3. **Self-Analysis Activity:** Participants sat in a circle and drew a picture on A4 paper to introduce themselves through the activity "Who Am I". After completing their drawings, they shared their feelings about their artwork with their group members. All participants then brought their drawings to a larger group to reflect on themselves, expressing their thoughts and feelings, and exchanging insights.
4. **Inner Power Search (Art Therapy):** The facilitator provided larger sheets of paper and asked participants to attach their drawings from the self-analysis activity. They then expanded on their drawings, depicting their dreams, hopes, and desires. Participants arranged their artworks into small gallery displays. Afterwards, they presented their drawings and shared feelings about their participation in the activities.
On July 18, 2025, the facilitators provided knowledge about the "Four Elements" — Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire — describing personality traits associated with each:
- **Earth:** Disciplined, resistant to change, enjoys planning
- **Water:** Warm, empathetic, attentive to others’ feelings
- **Wind:** Dislikes being controlled, enjoys fun, impatient
- **Fire:** Serious, enthusiastic, honest
Participants engaged in a "Self-Analysis" activity to determine their dominant element. They grouped themselves based on their element, discussed why they identified with that element, what they liked or disliked about it, using provided flip charts. Each participant drew a circle on A4 paper, analyzed their traits according to the four elements, and assigned a percentage to each, then shared and discussed with their groups.
Next, participants reflected on their personality traits and how they relate to others in different roles—such as children, friends, subordinates, supervisors, or romantic partners. They learned that their element could change depending on their role, through a "Relationship Reflection" activity. This activity helped participants understand themselves better and recognize the differences among those around them, fostering adaptability and empathy in social interactions.
The overall feedback from participants was very positive. They expressed that the activities served as excellent sources of encouragement, helping them open up emotionally, communicate more confidently, reason more clearly, and reflect on their daily feelings and thoughts. Many also requested further sessions with the trainers, saying the project was very beneficial. Some participants, who initially experienced high stress levels, preferred to isolate themselves and were reluctant to engage in activities. However, after participating, they felt more open, more willing to communicate, and increased their familiarity and closeness with others they had not known before.
